A 7-year-old boy who had been reported kidnapped was safely found Monday morning, but authorities say a woman remains in critical condition following a shooting in Lafayette. ๐Ÿš”

According to police, 39-year-old Rayne Shideler was discovered around 8:45 a.m. on the 700 block of Olivia Place suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Emergency crews transported her to a local hospital, where she remains in critical condition.

Police are now searching for 37-year-old Adam Joseph McDaniel, who is wanted in connection with the shooting and kidnapping incident. Authorities describe McDaniel as armed and dangerous.
