Remembering Katie Benson: A Beloved Member of the Blue Crew
It is with deep sadness that we share the news of the passing of Katie Benson, a cherished member of our horse show family and the Blue Crew. Katie passed away due to a medical complication, leaving a void in the hearts of everyone who knew her.
Katie had a passion for horses, fashion, and bringing joy to those around her. Her infectious personality could light up any room, always making people laugh and feel welcome. Known as one of the Blue Crew’s biggest cheerleaders, she approached every ride, lesson, and show with determination, striving to be a little better each time.
Her absence is especially felt this week, as she was eagerly anticipated at an upcoming show. Katie’s dedication, spirit, and support inspired everyone she met, and she made lasting impacts on both friends and coaches alike.
Though she is no longer with us, her memory will continue to inspire the Blue Crew, cheering us on in every step. Friends and fellow riders are encouraged to share their memories and stories of Katie, celebrating a life full of joy, kindness, and passion.
